Also, <strong>Donal Og Cusack<\/strong>&#8216;s biography\/autobiography is not really on the radar just yet.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/DOCUME%7E1\/CONORP%7E1\/LOCALS%7E1\/Temp\/moz-screenshot-4.png\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/DOCUME%7E1\/CONORP%7E1\/LOCALS%7E1\/Temp\/moz-screenshot-5.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_458\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-458\" href=\"http:\/\/conorpower.ie\/?attachment_id=458\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-458\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-458\" title=\"081028_library_books\" src=\"http:\/\/conorpower.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/081028_library_books-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"A view of approximately one tenth of the GAA Books of 2009\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/conorpower.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/081028_library_books-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/conorpower.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/081028_library_books.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-458\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A view of approximately one tenth of the GAA Books of 2009<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <strong>poll<\/strong> should be <strong>more interesting<\/strong> once the reading public has had a chance to <strong>get their teeth into the books<\/strong> that will be put out over the coming month.\u00a0 So far, the size of the <strong>votes<\/strong> seem to be <strong>reflective of how long the book is out<\/strong>, so before the end of the year, we may get a more representative picture emerging.<\/p>\n<p>One that isn&#8217;t out yet (although it will <strong>shortly be in print<\/strong> &#8211; this week, in fact) is the biography of <strong>Ned Power<\/strong> &#8211; due to be launched in <strong>Dungarvan<\/strong> on the <strong>26th of November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Part <strong>hurling book <\/strong>and part <strong>memoir<\/strong>, it will have a <strong>broader appeal<\/strong> than most so-called <strong>GAA books<\/strong> and it will therefore be interesting to see how it fares.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"..\/?page_id=17\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click here\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/Front-cover-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Front cover\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" \/><\/a>\u201c<strong>My Father: A Hurling Revolutionary, the life and times of Ned Power<\/strong>\u201d is out on paperback at the end of November 2009.\u00a0 <a href=\"..\/?page_id=17\">Click here<\/a> for further information, <a href=\"..\/?page_id=17\" target=\"_self\"><strong>pre-order<\/strong><\/a> and excerpt.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over at An Fear Rua, a vote has been gathering as to what is the best GAA book of 2009.
